The HRS connector DF40 series features a 0.4mm pitch and a height ranging from 1.5 to 4.0mm, making it suitable for board-to-board and board-to-FPC connections. The DF40 series connectors have the following characteristics:

1. High-density mounting, saving space and facilitating easy insertion and removal, with a minimum width of 3.38 mm.

2. Diverse assembly heights, providing flexibility for applications requiring increased versatility. Stacking heights: 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm, 3.5mm, and 4.0mm, covering a range from 1.5 to 4mm.

3. High contact reliability—DF40 connectors offer strong contact force and effective mating at a stacking height of 1.5mm with a mating length of 0.45mm. The connector incorporates a locking system that prevents accidental disengagement and provides a distinct tactile click to confirm complete mating. Long effective engagement length: 0.45mm.

4. Excellent self-alignment capability—thanks to the use of guiding ribs, this connector allows for self-alignment of up to 0.33mm. An enhanced structure with shock-absorbing guide rails reinforces both sides of the connector, further enhancing the shock-absorbing guidance. Safe assembly and clear tactile feedback with a distinct clicking sound ensure secure connection and mating.

5. Pre-welding solder wicking prevention—by adding a nickel-plated barrier, the contact area is protected against potential solder wicking.

6. Anti-contamination design—when mated, the connector’s design fully covers the contacts, helping to prevent dust and other debris from entering. SMT leads are kept very close together, and the connector housing itself helps avoid short circuits caused by debris on exposed contacts. A robust vibration-absorbing structure further enhances protection.

7. High PCB retention force—with metal fittings, preventing solder pull-out.
